FAQs

We develop circular biomaterials using post-consumer coffee waste collected locally in Barcelona. Spent coffee grounds are dried, stabilised, blended with a biopolymer matrix, and thermally pressed into laminated sheets for designers and artisans working with structured accessories and experimental fashion.

Our materials use organic feedstock and are being assessed for end-of-life performance. Biodegradability testing under ISO 14855 is planned as part of our certification roadmap. We do not make absolute environmental claims until testing is complete and verified.

We work with independent designers and studios on material trials and co-development. If you are interested in testing coffee-based biomaterials for structured accessories, small leather goods, or experimental fashion, visit our designer page to learn how collaboration works, or contact us directly to request samples.

BIOMA materials are semi-rigid laminated sheets best suited for structured accessories. Wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid prolonged exposure to water or direct sunlight. Performance characteristics vary by configuration, and we continue to refine care guidelines as testing progresses.
